The team thought we had only a 52 mile day on our next to the last day of this trip. However, our route leader, Duncan, informed use that because of safety issues the safer route would be 96 miles. We had been on Maine roads for 3 days and knew that adding these extra miles meant a lot of hills. So we set out and completed 96 miles and 6,200 feet of climbing to get to Belfast, a small fishing town. Exhausted, we pitched our tents in the town park, showered and hit the local bar and grill. I‘m very tired and so I’m going to bed.

Tomorrow we cross the finish line after a 62 mile ride. Cindy will be at the finish line and I can’t wait to she her so I know my energy level will be high tomorrow and I’ll ride much faster because of her.
