Yesterday we made our way from Indiana to a beautiful county park just outside of Madison, WI. Bernie and Butch are doing all of the driving since I'm old and have very slow reflexes. At least that's what I told them. They told me I couldn't drive anyway since I wasn't on the charities insurance. I told that I'm still old but my reflexes are good. I shouldn't have lied.

Jane Addams 1860-1935
A progressive social reformer and activist.
The drive was uneventful but the bike ride was very nice. We started the ride at the Jane Addams trail head which began in Illinois and ended in Wisconsin. It was a brisk 25 miles on crushed limestone. The path ran along side large farms and densely wooded areas. There was a butterfly garden along the way but there were no butterflies. 🦋 They must have known we were coming or known the that I hadn't showered in a month. There were a number of unexpected holes on the trail that when hit would almost knock the fillings out of your teeth.
We found out later that the holes were made by ground squirrels 🐿️.

After the ride we stopped at an interesting bar and grill that had a number of volleyball courts. The place was packed with patrons eating, drinking and playing volleyball. After a good dinner we went to the campground and immediately became food for the mosquitoes as we set up our tents in the dark.

Today was a good day!
