We had a rest day yesterday in Westborough, Massachusetts and all I did was eat and sleep. My cold has moved to my chest and now my nights are interrupted with coughing fits. I’m not real popular with the people that sleep near me.

I did feel a little stronger today but that may have been because the mileage was only 60 miles and there was not much climbing and the weather was perfect.
We rolled through what remained of Massachusetts and entered New Hampshire. We encountered a few busy roads but eventually we got on to some nice rolling rural roads that lead us into Derry, New Hampshire.
Today one of our route leaders and my friend Adam Hunter returned to California. I‘ve done a number of rides with Adam and I’m going to miss his dry humor and wit. I hope we have a chance to ride again.

Tomorrow we head east towards the coast. I really don’t know why they call this the Atlantic Coast Route since I haven’t seen the coast or the Atlantic Ocean since North Carolina.
