A beautiful morning after the nighttime rain
I definitely have, by the grace of God, gotten a second wind. The 86 mile day of almost 6,000 feet of climbing was only moderately difficult for me. Some of the new riders are really struggling with such a difficult start to this ride. I’m lucky in that I’ve experienced a lot of long days of climbing over the last month.
Today’s ride was a repeat of last Tuesday’s ride so I knew what to expect. The scenery didn’t look different from the opposite direction so I didn’t take a lot of pictures. I rode mainly by myself and I actually like that because I can go at my own pace.

Our second rest stop again
The new team of riders seem a little inexperienced as I mentioned earlier but it won’t take long for them to get into the biking groove.
Tonight were in a church in Damariscotta-Newcastle and Pastor Marilee offered her
home for showers. Tomorrow we begin making our way west to New Hampshire and new roads. I can’t wait.

My home for the night, I’m getting a lot of religion lately
