This in a state where you can smoke a joint on the street. Interesting
There’s not much to say about today. I’m in Centralia, WA laying in a church getting ready to fall asleep. The highlight of the day was the pasta dinner prepared by Pastor Scott. He prepared enough food for 40 but there’s only 15 of us. He’s also providing us with breakfast. The church is beautiful with a gym and showers. It even has a laundry room. The entire church is open for our use. Again, kindness abounds in this country. It’s everywhere but it is overshadowed by a minority of evil individuals. Today’s ride was an easy 65 miles through nondescript farm area. Mostly the roads were flat and the wind was behind us. I rode most of the day with Dean, a retired firefighter from Prescott, AZ. We were able to have a good conversation that helped the miles fly by. Tomorrow our route takes us near Mt. St. Helens. Some of us are debating whether to go off route to visit the Memorial Center. It might add an extra 20 miles but I’ll decide tomorrow once I know which way the wind is blowing.
