Today was a long day. We traveled 86 miles on less than ideal roads. We faced rough farm roads and narrow main roads. We took a number of wrong turns but they didn't cause us to add too many extra miles. Nick took a wrong turn and turned an 85 mile day into a 103 mile day. The 'White Rabbit' really did disappear today.

We had our first real Louisiana meal this afternoon. The food was great but the chef running around the restaurant with a fly swatter was a little unnerving.

(Pat stopped and took this picture of a crop duster made by Air Tractor, a company Cindy just used in a PPG video. Air Tractor uses PPG technology to prevent their planes from corroding.)

The last 25 miles were on a road that's part of the Mississippi River Trail. We follow this road to New Roads, LA where we're staying at a Baptist Church. The church didn't have shower facilities so we were invited to shower at the local armory. After cleaning up many of us found a nice restaurant along the water. All is good tonight!
